With the development of international education in China, more and more international students come to China to receive education and most of them come from Asia. International students are important parts of Chinese college, so their education can’t be separated from Chinese education system, especial the ideological and moral education. The starting and ending point of our country to accept international students is to cultivate the external gentry to be friendly to China and succeed in learning, so we need to attach importance to the ideological and moral education of international students. Improving the ideological and moral education of international students is not only the need of cultivating foreigners to know more about China and to become friends with Chinese, but also the need of improving the comprehensive quality of the international students in China, of constructing an harmonious campus, of promoting the education of international students and of facilitating the spread of Chinese culture. Due to the particularity of the international students,the education to them should be different from the education to Chinese students.To explore good measures, which should be based on the present situation of their ideology and morality and their psychological characteristics, to train talents who love Chinese culture and are friendly to Chinese people. At present, the academic researches mostly focus on management of international students and their cross-culture adaptation, but seldom achievements gained in the research of the ideological and moral education of international students.As the students from Asia are the main part of the international students in China, the research on their ideology and morality has profound referential meaning to the education of the whole group of international students. Therefore, this dissertation investigates the moral status of the Asian students in the colleges and universities of Nanchang from four aspects--learning attitude, integrity condition, law and regulation concept and attitude towards China as its research subjects. Its research methods include literature, questionnaire and interview. On this basis, it analyzes the factors which influence moral education activities from such aspects as personal qualities, culture shock, moral educator, management systems and its implementation. The author believes that in order to promote the moral education of Asian foreign students, some measures, such as improving the requirement to their comprehensive qualities, strengthening the education on Chinese culture and national conditions, paying more attention to the construction of the ideological and moral educators’ quality and completing the management to the international students, should be taken. The author hopes that this dissertation can provide a reference for the moral education of the whole international students group.
