Research On The Reform Of Engineering Education Curriculum System In Newly-founded Colleges

Nowadays, with the expansion and extension of the engineering activities, engineering and technical staffs are facing more complicated engineering tasks.The engineering education curriculum system is difficult to adapt to the cultivation of engineering and technical staffs. Therefore, the author analyzed engineering curriculum system in the newly-funded colleges on the basis of summarizing a great deal of literature in home and abroad,and re-constructed engineering education curriculum system through comparing with the engineering curriculum system in Olin college.The main researches in this paper are as follows:Firstly, the author made a literature summary on the relevant researches higher education engineering curriculum system by collecting relevant information widely both in China and abroad, which formed a clear mind on the trend in today’s world of engineering education reform: consolidated and practice-oriented.Secondly, on the basis of analysing the engineering education curriculum, in five newly-founded colleges in Nanchang Institute of Technology, Tongling College, Suzhou College, Huaiyin Normal University and Xichang College, and through the comparison with Olin college course system, the author points out the direction of higher engineering curriculum system reform in newly-funded colleges.Thirdly, the author re-constructed the higher engineering education curriculum system in newly-founded colleges in China on the basis of analyzing the problems in curriculum construction and according to training objectives, the demands from the interests of engineering education stakeholders(students, teachers, business). Then, put forward corresponding suggestions on how to guarantee the operation of the new curriculum system, from the construction of teachers group and the new curriculum evaluation system(CCEM- EEC).
