In the new era, new requirements which pay attention to the cultivation of students’ geographical ability for geography education was proposed and new goals of geography education focus on cultivating comprehensive ability of students. Therefore, new curriculum standards specifically put forward the goal of "process and method" and set the active part of the proposal to guide the selection, organization, and development of the activities, and provided that the activities must be carried out because this can improve students’ ability and comprehensive quality. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the study of the geographical activity system. But the study number of the geographic activity system is still insufficient and there are many problems in the implementation of the geographic activity system, and geography activity system implementation strategy for first-line high school is less. Thus, this paper takes activity system in geography textbook compulsory 1 of the PEE as research object to explore its application problems and teaching strategies.This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter is to review the research background and significance, research contents and methods, and summarize the research of the teaching strategies of geographical activity system. In the second chapter, activity system in geography textbook compulsory 1 of the PEE was classified, the number of the system is analyzed, and the characteristics of the system were analyzed. The third chapter analyzed the problems in the implementation process of the geography activity system with the students and teachers as the research object. In the fourth chapter, the problems that can not be quantitatively analyzed in the implementation of the geographic activity system were analyzed with the geography teaching process as a case. In the fifth chapter, the corresponding teaching strategies were put forward for the implementation of the activity system and the types of activities.In this paper, the idea of "finding problem- asking questions- define relevant concepts- collecting and sorting out information- analysis problem- solving problem" was used to researched, mainly using the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey, observation method, statistical analysis method, interview and case analysis. The following conclusions are drawn from the study:In this paper, activity system in geography textbook compulsory 1 of the PEE was divided into cognitive activities, operational activities and comprehensive activities, and according to the characteristics of the activity system and the main emphasis of the ability cultivation it will be subdivided into 13 types.In the implementation process of the active system, there have been some problems. The students participation enthusiasm is not high and implementation of activities do not meet the students expectation. Dependence and thinking inertia of students is strong. Time-consuming operation activities are difficult to carry out. Teachers’ understanding of the activities is superficial and operation for activities is simple and rough. Here exist a lot of " teaching activity" phenomenon. Teachers often use activities as exercises. Activity frequency is too large. It is difficult to grasp the activity difficult in teaching.Activity system teaching strategies in Geography textbook compulsory 1 of the PEE: research thoroughly the connotation of activity and excavate the essence of the activities; enhance the playfulness and pay attention to the situationality; emphasis on the activity effect and the learning situation and control the frequency and difficulty of activity implementation; pay much attention to “the research of the problem” and create an atmosphere of activities; control the difficulty of presentation and practice and lighten teaching task. At the same time, the different strategies and instructional design were put forward for the activity type.The above strategies consider the interest of students and teaching burden, the important factors of geography activities implementation, so these strategies has a certain reference to the teaching of geography activity system. But not all of the strategies were put into practice and it is certain that the strategies are to be verified by more practices.
