After a shortdescription of the basic overview of Dalian, the position of inbound tourism of Dalian inLiaoning Province and all of country has been identified through the study of the foreignexchange earnings and the number of tourist arrivals and there is a preliminary understandingof inbound tourism in Dalian in this paper.After the analysis and summary of the time structure, spatial structure, the motivationand the consumption structure of the inbound tourism tourists using the geographic charts,BCG matrix and other methods, it is considered that there is very little change in the inboundtourism of different years, and also there is concentration of seasons. Tourists mainly fromJapan, Korea, Russia and other countries and there are some unreasonable in the consumptionof inbound tourists.Based on the study of the inbound tourism market in Dalian, the analysis of the problemsof the inbound tourism market in Dalian, and the investigating of the construction of theinbound tourism of Dalian in recent years have been made in this paper. And also there aresome suggestions of the further development of the inbound tourism market in the city ofDalian. For example, how to publicize the inbound tourism of Dalian actual the situation ofDalian, how to make the sustainable development strategy of the inbound tourism market ofDalian based on the sustainable development theory and so on.
