Study On Land Use Change And Ecological Service Value About The Up And Middle Reaches Of The Yangtze River

The up and middle reaches of the Yangtze River is a part of the Yangtze River economic-belt. The production of human activities is frequent, which deeply influences the pattern of land use and the ecological environment. It is significance to study spatio-temporal characteristics of land use and ecological environment effects. Getting 1995, 2000, 2005, 2008 four periods of land use data in the study area study the changes of land use and ecological value of ecosystem service for 14 years. The method are the mathematical model(land use intensity, land use extent model etc.) and the ecosystem service value. The software are ArcGIS, Excel 2007 and Spss19. The research results show that:(1) The land use type didn’t change obviously.The main types of land use in the up and middle reaches of the Yangtze river are cultivated land,woodland,grassland and the various of land-use types are differences in spatial distribution.(2) The The amplitude of variation is small, and the speed is slow. It entered the stage of adjustment.(3)Conversion between various land use types in the study area is complicated. Land use diversity becomes more and more complex. Whether in whole or in part, the transformition is focused on the 1995- 2000 years.The transfer of provinces is more complex, and the structural complexity is also rising.(4) The driving factors of land use change in the study area are both natural factors and human factors. In terms of natural factors, the influences are mainly embodied in elevation, gradient, slope direction, precipitation and temperature. tIn terms of cultural factors, the impactions are mainly embodied in the population, economy and policy.(5)Ecological service value of the study area decreased. Study the relevance of the land use and ecosystem service value change with ecological effect index. There is a certain effect between land use change and the total of ecosystem services value, but the impact is little. From the different types of land use, the correlation of forests, waters, unused land area and the ecological value change are higher than others.(6)From the direction of value-flowing, the change of ecological service value is caused by different land-use type in different period of time. During the period of 1995-2000 years, cultivated land, grassland, unused land convert into woodland, waters mainly lead to ecological service value reduction. During the period of 2000-2005 years, grassland convert into woodland, waters is mainly resulting in ecosystem service value decreased further.
