The Research On Citizenization Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

In China, since the reform and opening up, a large number of surplus rural labor who went to city to engage in non-agricultural industries, has made the indelible contribution for promoting China’s economic development and social transition.Along with the rapid development of China’s industrialization, urbanization and modernization, migrant workers enter into the intergenerational conversion period. The new generation of migrant workers is becoming the subject of migrant workers by replacing the old generation of migrant workers, and has a different character from the old generation of migrant workers. Different from the old generation of migrant workers, the new generation of migrant workers is high education degree, the pursuit of equality, shows strongger citizenization intention and more sense of identity on the city. Besides,its idea and behavior way has been gradually close to Urbanization,and they are eager to settle down in the city. These new characteristics determine that their interest demands are tending to diversification and reality. However, in the barrier of the policy, system,social exclusion and so on,the new generation of migrant workers are not accepted by the city,and they are unable to enjoy equal rights and benefits in employment, housing, medical care,social insurance and other aspects. As a result, they have gradually evolved into the trouble of neither going back to the countryside nor melting into the city. With the expansion of the new generation of migrant workers, it is likely to trigger serious social problems if they are trapped into the trouble in a long term, setting huge dangers for the harmonious development of the society. And the only way to solve these problems is to promote the new generation of migrant workers’ citizenization,whcih can help them melt into the city, and realize the equalization of public service,make all citizens including each of the new generation of migrant workers can benefit the achievements of social and economic development.Therefore, taking care and attention to the demand of the new generation of migrant workers, and promoting the new generation of migrant workers’ citizenization, is of great urgency.At present, Our country has entried an accelerating period of the urbanization,and promoting the healthy development of the urbanization will still be an important strategic in future. However, researching the problemon citizenization of the new generation of migrant workers, is an important issue to promote the development of urbanization.Therefore, in the process of urbanization, taking care and attention to the demand of the new generation of migrant workers, and promoting the new generation of migrant workers’ citizenization, is a new misson that the times entrust to us.In this paper, with the new generation of migrant workers as the study object,firstly, analyze systematically the current situation of the new generation of migrant workers, the characteristics difference between two generation migrant workers, and the characteristics of citizenization.And then, on the basis of investigation analysis and interview in the Jiaozuo city, analyze reasons of the new generation of migrant workers’ citizenization from the lack of policy system, social exclusion, the new generation of migrant workers individual factors limits.Lastly, put forward countermeasures for promoting the citizenization of the new generation of migrant workers, including promoting the system innovation, establishing the idea of inclusive development and improving the overall quality of the new generation of migrant workers.
