Study On The Security Measures Of Non-motorized Road Space In Hangzhou

Non-motorized traffic with a considerable scale plays a good role of transportation mode in Hangzhou through years of construction. But with the development of urbanization process, many traffic problems become serious due to the rapid rising ownership of motor vehicles. Hangzhou government has implemented various measures to control traffic congestion and ensure the efficiency of motor vehicles. As a result, the safety and comfort of non-motorized cannot be guaranteed with squeezed road space.Measures to control traffic congestion are comprehensive systems, not simple optimizations of motor vehicles traffic condition. And the protection of non-motorized road space can be a way of low carbon mode to solve the traffic problem of massive motor vehicles. Ensuring the non-motorized road space has a positive practical significance to promote the development of comprehensive transportation system in Hangzhou and the construction of life quality.Through the investigation of non-motorized situation in Hangzhou; drawing lessons of non-motorized development policy and model from home and abroad; studying the orientation and strategy for non-motorized road mode, the ideas for non-motorized road system, non-motorized road network layout, riverside bicycle road system, improvement of non-motorized road node in Hangzhou, the recent improvement of road node, this paper aims to improve the development of non-motorized in Hangzhou, and protect the road right of non-motorized that is increasing weak.
