Research On Child-friendly Public Space Of The Residential Area

The development of children is related to the development of society and the progress of civilization,and it is the shared responsibility for society and government to provide good survival and development conditions for children.Guangdong Province promulgated and implemented the "Guangdong Province Children’s Development Plan(2011-2020)" in May 2012,clearly put the creation of child-friendly social environment as overall objectives,and proposed to speed up the construction of children’s activities places and facilities,and to standardize the management of urban and rural children’s Activities places and other requirements.With the opening of the two-child policy,the number of children in our country has increased,and the residential environment of children should be paid more attention.The public space in the residential area is the Activities place where children are most exposed,and it is often designed and constructed tend to focus on the behavioral needs of adults,while ignoring the activity requirements of children,which requires the planning and design of residential public space should pay attention to the psychological needs and environmental behaviors of children’s users.On the basis of the scientific theory of children’s psychology,environmental behavior and behavioral space science,and with a guide to fully respecting the values of children’s rights,this paper,combined with related case studies at home and abroad,constructs the standard of child-friendly public space of the residential area,and puts forward the connotation and characteristics of child-friendly public space of the residential area.Through use the way of field observation,questionnaires and random interviews to conduct a field research at Xinghui Jinsha quarter,Jinshazhou,Guangzhou City,this paper analyzes the current situation of the use of public space in residential area,summarizes the existing problems of the public space of residential area from the perspective of child user,and puts forward the strategy of transformation and optimization.Child-friendly public space of the residential area is to create a comfortable and safe space for children,which is conducive to the healthy development of children’s physical and mental.It is hoped that my research can arouse the attention and attention of the government and society to the rights of children in public space of the residential area,and provide useful reference for future research on related issues.
