With the development of the diversified global economy in recent years, the requirement of people's ability to practice English increases. The materials of simultaneous interpretation are no longer confined to the political, economic and cultural fields, but extend to social hot topics.Simultaneous interpretation for different themes, from the point of view of interpreters, can improve knowledge reserve and cultural level. From a theoretical point of view, the combination of theory and practice enables theory to be more specific and richer.Among all theories of interpreting, the Effort Model, proposed by Professor Gile, provides a new research perspective for the study on interpretation.Based on the Effort Model by the famous French scholar Professor Gile, this report provides a new explanation for simultaneous interpretation from the view of cognitive linguistics.Effort Model, put forward by Professor Gile,“SI = L + M + P + C” divides the simultaneous interpretation into three steps, namely L(listening analysis),M(the Short-term Memory)and P(the Speech Production).Interpreters need to allocate adequate energy for each step, and finally translate the source language after a three-step coordination to achieve unity. The material is extracted from the speech "Under the Dome" on environmental protection published by Chai Jing.Today, increasing attention is paid to the influence of haze on environment, life and health. The "Under the Dome" presents the generation and hazards of haze from the unique perspective.Based on the Effort Model, this paper combines characteristics of lecture with dynamic researching method, and points out the proper solutions and problems such as terms, blanks, and turn-taking during the process of interpreting.
