The report is based on the reporter's whispered simultaneous interpreting experience at the 15th MBA Forum of China and the Is1 Forum of "World Water Valley" in October,2015 held in Hohai University. By analyzing the interpreting records of the opening remarks and keynote speeches, reporter concludes two main aspects affecting the interpreting quality, namely the subjective aspect and the objective aspect. Subjective aspect includes the poor multi-tasking ability of the reporter, background information of the listener and the speaker's presentation. While objective aspect includes the live environment and the sound equipment. After researching on the theories and personal reflection, reporter has provided with corresponding methods in handling these problem in two aspects. For the subjective aspect, interpreter should constantly improve personal knowledge reserve, enhance psychological condition and attempt to learn the background information about the listener, including his educational, cultural and living background to have sufficient preparation in advance and coordinate the information deviation caused by cultural differences. For the objective aspect, interpreter should train the personal ability of resisting disturbance in daily life. Further more, interpreter should handle the emergent cases caused by the objective factors properly by not affecting the interpreting quality. This project aims to provide some solutions and suggestions for interpreters and students majoring in MT or MTI through concrete analysis of the obstacles affecting the whispered interpreting quality during the forums.
