The Case Study On The Present Situation Of Teaching Electronic Organ In The Vocational Colleges In Shanxi Province

In China,the electronic or gan performance has gradually gained popularity,because of its rich timbre and expressive performance,as well as its grand appeal when performed like a complete orchestra,which makes many people pay attention to and learn to perform it.More and more vocational colleges set up new major of electronic organ to cultivate a large number of compound talents of playing electronic or gan with relatively high professional skills and artistic taste,and transport such talents for primary and secondary schools and musical groups in society.Since the Shanxi Academ y of Arts established electronic organ as a new m ajor in 2004,the update of curriculum has been lagged,due to the short rapid development period of vocational colleges and the relatively w eak experience accum ulation.Some problems inevitably exist in th e electronic organ major,such as teach ing methods,teaching resources,and curriculum setting.As a teacher of elect ronic organ major for over decade,th e author intends to provide m ethods and strategies for innovating and develo ping the teaching of electronic organ in vocational colleges on th e basis of present outstanding problem s.The author also conducts a study to develop the curriculum adjustment and i mprove teaching outcome to suit for the characteristics of vocational college students' employment.The research adapts com prehensive research methods including literature review,questionnaire and investigation,interview and case investigation.In the questionnaire for students and investigation on some teachers,th e author realizes some practical teach ing problems in curriculum setting,course system such as improvisational accompaniment and composing,and the status and significance of the jazz and popular music in teaching,and etc.To solve th ese problems,the researcher s uggests applying multiple teaching m ethods and positively introduces jazz and pop music to the teaching.Meanwhile,the author also suggests depending on the m odern information web to introduce m icro-class method to reinforce the students' physical coordination ability,and to improve their com prehensive expertise competence.Shanxi Academy of Arts is the f irst vocational arts college registe red in national education ministry.The author carried out investigation on the present problems of electronic organ major in Shanxi Academ y of Arts,an d puts forwards several solutions to these problems.In the view of the author,the students show intense interests in learning electronic organ performance,because of the rich timbre and various performance techniques for various music styles.The author intends to set up localized curriculum concept based on the teaching characteristics of electronic or gan major.After setting suitable teaching plan for vocational college students and cu ltivating practice-based performance talents,the graduates of such college will have the ability to meet the social needs quickly.
