This report is based on the E-C translation of Chapter Five of Human Resource Management. As a work on management, this book discusses the current situation of human resource management in many aspects, and offers some helpful suggestions in terms of issues emerging in the development of this subject. Under the landscape of economic globalization, management education is becoming more and more international. However, the Chinese version targets such readers as HR specialists, students majoring and people interested in HR management in China. Therefore, the author holds that the combination of globalization and localization is the best way to illustrate theories proposed by foreign experts to Chinese readers. The author introduces some domestic cases concerning HR management in Chinese version, utilizing the technique of domestication in translation. The report, under the guidance of Text Type Theory, analyzes the source book’s stylistic features and translation difficulties, and puts forward corresponding translation strategies on the textual, syntactic and lexical level. The report consists of preparation before translation, translation process and analysis on difficulties and so on. The author is supposed to generalize the similarities and features in translating this type of texts, presents feasible tactics of translation. The author is expected to spare no efforts to make her own contributions for the spread of excellent foreign works on human resource management in China.
