With the rapid increase in the number of Chinese oversea travels,in order to give Chinese tourists better quality of service,the major countries are looking for people who proficient in Chinese language to serve Chinese tourists,however realistically there is indeed needed more employees that proficient in Chinese language,the increase in the demand for such talent shows that China should not only focus to foreign language education and teaching materials research,but also should pay attention to specialized use of Chinese teaching and teaching materials research.This essay aims to provide some reference for the construction of Chinese tourism reference books through the comparative study of Chinese tourism reference books and English tourism reference books.This essay chooses the "Chinese for Tourism" written by Confucious Institutes at Prince of Songkla University and the more widely used "English for International Tourism Pre-intermediate" textbook as reference materials.The first part of the essay mainly introduces three points,the first is the background and significance of the topic;the second point introduces the research status related to the essay;the third point explains the theory and method used to solve the problem.The second part introduces the basic situation of these two teaching reference materials and explains the reasons for the selection.The third fourth and fifth chapter are important chapters of this essay.In the third part,the author composes the writing style of the two teaching reference materials,and finds out that the writing method of the Chinese teaching material of tourism is the same as that of the teaching materials of the Chinese as a foreign language.Writing style basically follows:Text-new words-notes-grammar points-practices.It is necessary to learn from the tourism English teaching materials in terms of the annotation,teaching objectives,difficulty,teaching feedback and real tourism materials.The fourth part is comparative analysis of the text form and text topics of the two textbooks,it is concluded that the Chinese textbooks should be more narrative in the form of writing and increase the real material reference of the topic.The practice of the two textbooks were compared and analyzed in the fifth part of the essay.It is found that the practice content of the Chinese language teaching materials needs to be increased.The content of the practice should include the language elements and the language skills.The types of practice need to be more communicative,task practice and real practice exercises.The sixth part summarizes the comparative study of this essay.
