Teenagers are the backbone of our country and society,building correct view of life value has a positive influence on the development of high school students.Currently,there is relatively less research about the life value of high school students;much more research explores the teaching problem of the value of life from the viewpoint of discipline teaching.The thesis raises the hypothesis that the viewpoint on the value of life of high school students is influenced by the their personality and the upbringing way of their parents,then aims to explore the relationship among them in the Third Middle School of YuXi based on document analysis method and questionnaire method.And the research result presents:1.Students in the Third Middle School of YuXi have a wide range of life values.Most of the students possess positive life value orientation.Only a small number of students tend towards utilitarian secular.2.Among the students,especially girls,non-only children,resident school and science students,have more positive life value.While boys,single child in the family,boarder and art students are pay more attention to money,benefit and power.Students from different grades,their life values will fluctuate.3.The family rearing pattern of the Third Middle School of YuXi influences the formation of life values.Especially father's rearing style has a greater effect on the life values,while the role of mother is relatively small.Parent's understanding about emotional warm promotes the life values.The strict punishment of the father usually has a diminishing effect on the value of life.4.In the Third Middle School of Yuxi,the students ‘personality influences the formation of life-value.Their extraversion and nervousness promote the formation of life-value,while their nervousness just has a positive effect on instrumental value,has a negative effect on other three dimensions of life-value;and the covering of their personality cut the value of instrument and personal family.5.Based on the rationality of theory,the combining between the upbringing way and the analyzed results of EPQ personality indicates that the personality traits maywell be a partial mediator of the high school student's family upbringing way,so influences the all the dimensions of life-value.On the basis of the research results and conclusions,the thesis proposes to strengthen the education of the life-value of high school students from the aspect of country,society,school,family and individuals.I hope that this study can contribute to make an understanding about conditions of the high school student's life-value,and make a contribution to the development of mental health education of the teenagers in the border of our country.
