| Vietnam and China are neighboring countries.Due to historical,political and other reasons,a large numbers of Chinese vocabulary have been introduced into Vietnam and have been developing,changing and improving constantly.Among of this numerous Chinese loanwords,"Sino-Vietnamese words" is an important integral part of Vietnamese,and makes up more than 60% of modern Vietnamese vocabulary.Sino-Vietnamese words are mainly found in written language.Not only borrowing a great number of Chinese natural language,Vietnamese people also base on their needs of language expression to create new words by Sino-sources morpheme."Newly-invented Sino-Vietnamese words" originated from this way.This dissertation was studied under the perspective of communication science and linguistics with the selected samples from Daily News(Tin Tuc hang ngay)published by the Vietnam News Agency.Major methods used in this research are content analysis method and comparison method.In details,the Newly-invented Sino-Vietnamese words from the samples were collected,described,classified,and compared to the corresponded modern Chinese words.Through this analysis process,the significance and the usage purpose of new Sino-Vietnamese words were summarized as to make the words clear and intelligible;to avoid vulgarity;to satisfy the naming requirements for new things and new phenomena;and to maintain language protection function.Finally,summarizing the development trend of Newly-invented SinoVietnamese words includes: the number of words are increase and new words were updated continuously following the social and language development demands.New words are still mainly formed by two ways: borrowing Chinese affixes and using the Sino-Vietnamese morphemes to group words freely. |
