A Practice Report Of The Whispered Interpreting For An International Finance Speech

In this report,the interpreter did whispered interpreting on the speech "Money,Finance and Real Economy,What Went Wrong" delivered by the famous French economist,Anton Brender,which was held on April 20 th,2016 at Hebei University.By analyzing the strategies applied and the difficulties encountered during the process of interpreting,the report was written to conclude this practice.The practice report consists of five parts: task description,process description,preparation and analysis before interpreting,case analysis and conclusion.During reviewing the process of interpreting,firstly,the interpreter illustrates the definition and features of whispered interpreting and the relevant pre-preparation like collecting background information,making glossary and preparing tools.Then,the interpreter analyzes some cases including the interpreting strategies applied and difficulties encountered.The interpreter also puts forwards coping tactics according to Gile's Effort Model.At the last part,the interpreter sums up this practice from the perspective of the client's feedback and the on-site interpreting,and hopes to serve some references for other interpreters' study and practice.
