The G20 summit is held twice a year by major developed countries and developing countries which aims at the settlement of financial and economic cooperation issues worldwide.In recent years,the world has witnessed the achievement of China.The 11th G20 summit was held from September 4th to 5th in 2016,which provides a convenient platform for countries to discuss economic issues.China has once again shown her charm to the world.The author of the report chose President Xi Jinping's Speech at G20 as the text of interpreting practice.To explore the pragmatic functions of discourse marker,the author focused on sentence structure and logic of the text.Besides,based on the experience of interpreting practice,the author put forward some translation strategies.Discourse marker is used to improve the fluency of a sentence or a text.It can not only effectively convey information and that of a speaker,but can guarantee the listener's understanding intention of the speaker.So,to make a good interpretation,it is important for interpreter to well use discourse marker.There are four sections in the report:description of task,process of task,analysis of case studies,and summary of the report.Description of task and process of task serve as the whole overview of this practice.Case analysis is the core of this report,focusing on the studies of the function of discourse markers.and it explores the pragmatic function of discourse marker used in translation as well.At the end of the report,some experiences and lessons are concluded from the process of interpreting practice so as to help reach a higher level of interpreters' commitment in the future.
