The Thought Of Urban-Rural Relations Of Marx And Engels And Its Contemporarary Value

Marx and Engels deemed that the relationship between urban and rural is a basic relationship in human society.The change in urban-rural relationship had been accompanied by the whole society.In the 1840 s,the industrial revolution and urbanization wave had swept the major capitalist countries which changed the relationship between urban and rural in capitalist society.On the one hand,the change was the source of the improvement in the human society.However,we had to face its negative influence,which had caused different realistic and severe social problems.In other words,the concept of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels was created and formed during this social and historical background.Marx and Engels analyzed the source of the opposition in urban and rural thoroughly.Furthermore,they divided the history stage of the urban and rural relationship evolution stage scientifically.On the basis of their previous research,they explained that the influence of the opposition between urban and rural,and discussed the historical trend of the urban-rural integration of areas.Additionally,they clarified the premise,condition and the way of integration of urban and rural.Ultimately,they proposed a rich and systematic theory of the relationship between urban and rural areas through the unremitting endeavor.The thoughts of Marx and Engels urban-rural relations became an important part of Marx doctrine theory system.The scientific theory of Marx had characteristics of universal validity.The research of Marx and Engels was based on the relationship between urban and rural understanding and the knowledge of the industrial revolution capitalist relation in urban and rural areas.Nonetheless,in order to make an in-depth analysis of the relationship between urban and rural areas and form the scientific understanding,Marx and Engels started from the basic understanding of the relationship between productivity and production.Their advanced theory still has its important theoretical value and practical significance to the society today.It helps us to understand the relationship between urban and rural in China comprehensively and resolve the contradiction between urban and rural.Eventually,their advanced theory assists us to realize the coordinated development of urban and rural.This article is divided into five parts.Its basic logic and the main contents are as follows:First part is introduction.It analyzes the background and significance of the research on the thought of urban-rural relations based on Marx's theory.In this section,the related research results are scrutinized and it also illustrates the research methods of the main innovation points in thesis.The second part describes the historical background and theoretical basis of the formation of the theory of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels.The thesis reflects that the industrial revolution and the urbanization of capitalism are the social and historical background of the formation in the theory of Marx and Engels.Furthermore,it also emphasizes that the Utopian socialist theory of urban and rural relations and Li Bixi's agricultural reduction theory is the theoretical basis of the formation in the theory of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels.The third part evaluates the three historical stages of the thought of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels.It includes organizing the basic idea of equality between urban and rural areas in the embryonic stage,revealing the source of the contradiction between urban-rural relations in the formation stage and exploring the basic conditions of urban and rural in the mature integration.The fourth part explains the main content of the theory of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels.This thesis considers that the main contents of the theory of Marx and Engels on urban-rural relations includes four basic important aspects.The historical evolution of the relationship between urban and rural,and the source of urban-rural separation and its impact are the two basic aspects.Similarly,the inevitability of integration of urban-rural and its basic conditions and the relationship between urban-rural integration and free development of human beings constitutes the other two basic aspects.The fifth part discusses the contemporary value of the theory of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels.It also highlights that it has an important and theoretical significance for today's society.The theory is beneficial for us as it enables us to understand the importance of urban and rural relationship in China,to realize the overall development of urban-rural conditions and to promote the unrestricted development of mankind.
