In the past 20 years, with the acceleration of urbanization in China,a large number of migrant farmers work in the city, but their children could stay in rural school because of residence restriction and expenditure, which directly leads to the separation of children and parents. So,the parents who work in the city will have two effects on their children's education theoretically the long absence of parent will have a negative impact on their children's education. The transfer of parents' labor increases household income and improves their ability to invest in their children's education, which will have a positive impact on their children's education. In the past, most literature conducted empirical analysis of the impact of educational expenditure on academic achievement, and rarely conducted empirical analysis of the influence of parental companionship and counseling. This paper uses the data of the Chinese Family Tracing Survey(CFPS2014)to establish the multiple regression model and uses the instrumental variable method to complete empirical research the effects of migrant parents on left-behind children's education. This paper selects left-behind children, family counseling time, education expenditure, father's education level, mother's education level, the number of children in the family, desired educational level. The results show that the positive impact is larger on the whole. Then,we put forward some targeted policy recommendations. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction.Firstly,it expounds the background and significance of the topic.Taking the background of the topic as the research framework, paving the way for the later writing, the significance of the topic can better reflect the reasons and purpose of the writing.Secondly,it introduces the relevant research at home and abroad.Through the literature review,we can more understand some ideas and research methods of the article. Finally, this paper introduces the research ideas and methods, the possible innovations and shortcomings of this paper. The second part is about definition of left behind children and educational expenditure.Firstly,to define left-behind children, combining with the existing literature and the focus of this study and the data,we give the appropriate definition.Secondly, although the research background in the first part statistics the status of rural labor transfer and the total number of left-behind children,we can understand the reasons. But in the second part,it explains the deep reasons of the left-behind children, and can better analyze the complex causes of the left-behind children. Finally, discussing educational expenditure. The form of investment includes not only material aspects, but also time. The separation of parents from children can be the cost of labor transfer and reduces the investment of parents' time for children. At the same time, improve the family economic conditions, increase educational expenditure. In the third part,we introduce the data used in this paper, and make a statistical analysis of the left-behind children. For example, the educational achievements of left-behind children, the basic situation of parents and families. The purpose is to provide an intuitive statistics of the left-behind children. The fourth part is to select the appropriate variables and use multiple regression model to explore the impact of parental labor transfer on the results of left-behind children. The fifth part is the conclusion of the article.According to the empirical facts of the third part and the regression analysis data of the fourth part,we can get the basic conclusion of the article. The transfer of rural labor force mainly affects the educational achievements of the left-behind children by increasing educational support and family guidance time.By comparing the impact to put forward policy recommendations, witch can resolve the problems left-behind children.
