Research On The Impact Of Foreign Trade Of Fujian Province On The Demographic Dividend Recession

Fujian foreign trade is growing rapidly, which is due to ample supply of labor resources demographic dividend provides, but with the arrival of demographic dividend recession, the elderly dependency ratio and the elderly population accounted for less than the trend of rising, labor costs of foreign trade enterprises in Fujian Province continue rising, which results in a series of "labor shortage" problems. All of these problems indicate the transformation demand of Fujian foreign trade is more and more urgent. Firstly, this article analyzes the development status of foreign trade in Fujian province by analyzing the scale and structure of foreign trade development. At the same time, based on demographic dividend theory, we can clearly understand the changes of Fujian population through analyzing the changes of Fujian natural population, the age structure of population and changes of dependency ratio of population. It is concluded that the period of demographic dividend in Fujian began in 2000 and will continue until 2030, the aging rate and total dependency ratio of Fujian Provincial are used to indicate a recession of demographic dividend. Secondly, based on the theory of life cycle, demographic dividend and manpower capital, this article empirically investigate the effects of the recession of demographic dividend on the foreign trade of Fujian from the aspects of labor supply, savings and stock of human capital, and analyzes systematically the positive influence and negative influence which recession of the demographic dividend brings to the development of foreign trade. Abundant demographic dividend of Fujian Province provide plenty labor resources for the increasing development of Fujian foreign trade which is characteristic of intensive-labor industry; Fujian savings rate has been increased by the increasing decline of the total dependency ratio, which enhances the value of the stock of human capital, thus contributing to the development of Fujian foreign trade. Finally, this article puts forward countermeasures of the promotion of labor mobility, improvement of human capital investment, increasing of the efficiency of saving investment and to ease the recession of demographic dividend, thus promoting the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade of Fujian province.
