Normal colleges and non-normal universities are playing an important role in normal education. Normal students’ degree of professional identity in these two types of institutions directly affects the identification of future career and the contributions to education career enthusiasm. Therefore, this study aimed at professional identity situation of the undergraduates who are majoring in education in two normal universities and two non-normal universities in Hunan province, and comparison of undergraduates’ professional identity of these two types of educational institutions in all grades with the descriptive analysis methods to summarize the situation of undergraduates’ professional identity of the two types of educational institutions.Then, with Pierre Bourdieu cultural capital theory analyzing reasons for the differences are mainly caused by all complex factors, such as campus culture, educational environment(professional training, academic research level),education evaluation and so on. Based on the above reasons, several advices should be proposed. First of all, creating normal education culture and paying attention to professional ideology guidance; secondly, optimizing curriculum settings and reasonably adjusting structures of the courses; thirdly, breaking through the rigidity of professional settings and expanding professional settings space; fourth, perfecting training plans and establishing more strict inspection standards; fifth, promoting the construction of practice base and improving the students’ consciousness of teacher’s role; then, strengthening the construction of teaching staff and improving the quality of teachers; last but not least, strengthening the career planning education and setting up the pluralistic concept of choosing a career.
