Since 2008,"Chinese Popular" in Thailand has been rising and continues to this day and thus Chinese teaching research rising up.As the most elementary and the most important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese vocabulary teaching should be paid much attention to.The primary Chinese school of Thailand has been in a significant position for Chinese teaching,with the feature of Chinese,of many learning hours,and of rich learning resources,even more than other types of schools.The primary Chinese school can help students lay a good foundation of Chinese language.Although remarkable achievements come,there appears many problems.Among them,the practical teaching shows that Chinese vocabulary teaching problem is the most prominent in the Chinese school.Facing the issue that Chinese school pupils of Thai study and accumulate Chinese words for a long time without using them to speak and write,the author conduct a reflection and launch an investigation.This paper acts up to the researching thought that the problems should be found first,then be put forward,and later the reasons found out,ultimately be solved.For the sake of outstanding problem of Chinese vocabulary teaching in the Chinese school,the paper is under the use of lexicology,and according to theory of second language teaching and language acquisition.The writer combined with the experience at Phadungkitwitthaya School in Bangkok Thailand to do the research,as well as teaching survey for forty Chinese teachers of Chinese school.So that we found what to teach,how to teach and how to arouse students' interest is the main problem.For these problems,we go to find reasons.In order to solve these problems,this paper puts forward the appropriate techniques of Chinese lexical processing,interpretation and vocabulary practice in primary Chinese school,and suggest that teachers had better use varying teaching methods.The paper is devoted to providing theoretical and practical basis for the vocabulary teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,especially for Chinese vocabulary teaching of Chinese school in Thailand.
