With the boom of science and technology,information and communications technology(ICT)has been increasingly used in education.English education is undergoing tremendous changes.It calls for broader sources and wider choices of curriculum resources developed and utilized by using ICT,which presents new requirements for teachers' professional development.However,previous researches at home and abroad either deal with ICT integration,teachers' ICT literacy or curriculum resource development and utilization.There are rare researches combing the two topics,that is,to put the study of teachers' cognition of curriculum resources under the circumstances of this big data era based on ICT.This thesis focuses on the current situation of developing and utilizing curriculum resources in English teaching in senior high schools,with the updated requirements,intends to find out the common problems and therefore proposes possible countermeasures.First,the author clarifies the concept of curriculum resources,explains the perception of curriculum resources and the requirements of setting up new perceptions.She continues to quote the English language learning theory including Krashen's Input Hypothesis,Vygotsky's theory of ZPD and the whole-person development theory,which elaborates scientific development and utilization of English curriculum resources based on ICT is beneficial for the English language teaching and learning.Through questionnaires and interviews involving 58 teachers,several school administrators and over 400 students from her school,the author analyzes the current situation of curriculum resource development and utilization and summarizes five common problems.For instance,inadequate theoretical study leads to incomplete cognition of curriculum resources;teachers' ICT literacy and competence at low level causes too much time and effort consumption;students' little participation results in teachers' isolated work;irrational utilization contributes to the low efficiency of using the developed resources;support lack lags the construction of resource database and backward management kills sustainability and systematicness.Then the author draws implication from the English learning theories and curriculum resource theories mentioned in Literature Review,and concludes several effective principles of exploiting and utilizing resources based on ICT.They are: taking into students' life experiences;updating,supplementing and expanding the textbook materials;highlighting the humanity function of language and creating authentic learning contexts.Furthermore,from the perspective of practice,the author proposes five corresponding countermeasures to fight against those common problems,including: modifying teachers' cognition of curriculum resources,improving teachers' ICT literacy and competence,encouraging students' initiative and engagement,maximizing the efficiency of the developed resources,perfecting the construction and management of curriculum resource bank,etc.Later on,the author quotes at the full length two English teaching cases which exemplify typically the development and utilization of curriculum resources based on ICT in teaching practice.One is the trial of flipped classroom model,and the other is writing practice via the Pigai platform.Finally,the essay briefly mentions the limitations of this research and suggestions for future study.
