Content:The development and utilization of geography curriculum resources is putforward in the reform of basic education in China. As China’s basic education curriculumreform, the basic elements of geography curriculum resources as the design andimplementation of geography process indispensable has widely attracted people’s attention.The scope and level of geography curriculum goal realization is determined by therichness and suitability degree of geography curriculum resources. Therefore, how toeffectively develop and use the curriculum resources of geography, to change the students’learning style and creativity to carry out the new curriculum has a very important significance.This paper discusses the connotation and classification of the geography curriculum resourcesby means of questionnaire investigation, statistical analysis, draw many problems existing inthe development and utilization of geographic curriculum resources. On this basis, this paperputs forward the effective way. The five parts of the paper as follows.The first part is the introduction which mainly expounds the background of geographycurriculum resource exploitation. It analyzes and compares the research status of domesticresources and foreign resources, and briefly discusses the ideas and methods.The second part mainly discusses the connotation and classification of the geographycurriculum resources. Geography curriculum resources refers to the sum of all the factors andconditions to achieve the object of geography course, which is widely found in students’life, school, society and all of natureis conducive to the implementation of geographycurriculum, to achieve the purpose of teaching geography curriculum resources of education.Geography curriculum resources can be divided into the school geographycurriculum resources and external geography curriculum resources with thespatial difference. Rational development of geography contribute to achieve the course goals,and to promote all-round development of students, to change the transformation ofgeographyclassroom teaching methods and improving teaching quality.The third part of the thesis investigates the current geography curriculum resources situation of Xushui County Comprehensive High School. And summarizes the currentcurriculum resources has many problems through processing and analyzing thesurvey. Mainly in the following points: weak sense of geography teachers and lack of abilityto use the resources; the existing resources of the geography curriculum have manyshortcomings; and part of the geography curriculum resources could not be effectively used.The fourth part focuses on the way of development and utilization of geographycurriculum resources. Such as enhancing the geography teachers’ training, integrating variousresources, establishing an information repository about geography curriculum resource atschool, developing and using the national and human resources near the school. Combiningthe geography curriculum resources using and teaching through the use of internal andexternal resources to reform the task of the curriculum resources.The fifth part is the conclusion which briefly summarized the full text. This paperproposes the following research and the development of geography curriculum resources.
