A new round of reform on the general education curriculum has been started since 2001;and the direction of its History education curriculum reformation development could be briefly summarized as “knowing the present by reviewing the past,ministering the state and educating people”.Due to this call,a large number of history teachers began to make changes of their classroom teaching,and they have conducted a series of research and have made some progress,which is worthy celebrating.However,being limited by teacher's teaching ability,teaching conditions,social background,“our tough target-grades”,“our baton-the senior high school entrance examination”and other factors,problems still exist in the history education of the junior middle schools of Heng Shan district of Yulin City.Such problems hinders the progress of the development of the history education;moreover,the problems make our history course standards unattainable.To get a clear picture of the problems,efforts need to be made to deeply investigate the status quo of the history education of Heng Shan district of Yu Lin city.Counter measures for the problems should be brought up to level up the history education of this area,to raise students interest for history and history courses and to train and prepare students to be all-round and creative talents.With ceaseless attempts some scholars and teachers have brought up some excellent suggestions regarding the problems after some reflection upon junior middle school history education and some research on new teaching methods.But the existing relevant reference books could barely provide any guiding principles for the improvement of the status quo of the history education of Heng Shan district of Yu Lin city.Considering of the situation,in order to understand the problems and to solve the problems,the writer conducted a research on the status quo of the history education of Heng Shan district of Yu Lin city.On the basis of the reference from the study on the junior middle school history teaching made by other teachers and the knowledge of the realistic state of thelocal schools' history teaching,the writer introduced a series of teaching methods suitable to the locals.Hopefully,these methods could serve as references to the history teaching reform for the local area.This research report mainly composes of the preface,the body and the conclusion.The body consists of three parts.
