Physics teaching reform of middle school has always been a subject which is going on at a lower speed than other subjects.There are many reasons,such as the difficulty of the subject itself for students to learn,physics teachers' ideas and views on physics teaching reform,school facilities equipped on physics subject,as well as issues and questions caused by teacher evaluation system and student evalution system.This article is about the research and practice of physics teaching reform,which is based on the cooperative inquiry mode of middle school physics teaching and is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is introduction,including research background,research significance,research status,research methods.The second chapter is the definition of the core concept and the related theoretical basis.According to the theme of the paper,the core consepts are defined.By referring to the literature,the relevant theoretical foundation of middle school physics teaching under the cooperative inquiry teaching mode is determined,which includes cognitive development theory,Humanitic theory and lifelong learning theory.Moreover,the application of these three theories in the middle school physics teaching under the mode of cooperative inquiry is illustrated.The third chapter is the investigation and analysis of the status quo of the physics teaching mode in middle school.Taking the Huai-Bin Experimental Middle School as the research object,the questionaire and interview are used to comprehend and analyse on how students and teachers view the cooperative inquiry mode.This investigation provides basis for the next part.The fourth chapter is the application research of cooperative inquiry teaching mode in middle school physics teaching.This application is in the form of experimental class and control class.The practical cases of various types of courses under the cooperative inquiry teaching mode are given in this chapter.The fifth chapter is the result and analysis of practice research.The application of cooperative inquiry teaching mode in physics is recorded and analysed,and the results are compared and analysed from student achievement,classroom performance and students' ability.Research results are mainly related to the improvement of students' learning habits,inquiry ability,teamwork ability and communication ability.In the six chapter,the difficulities and propects of the cooperative inquiry teaching mode are put forward.The last parts are references,appendices,acknowledgments and originality statements.
