With the development of the national economy and the progress of science and technology in the 21 st century,the Chinese higher education has developed rapidly.The scales and the enrolled students of colleges and universities have expanded yearly.The higher education has transformed from the elite education stage to the popularized education stage in a short period.When higher education is popularized,its teaching quality has aroused widely attentions,for it directly related to the quality of personnel training,adaptability and serviceability to the society.The central part of the cultivation process is to ensure the quality of classroom teaching,while the improvement of quality assessment of the classroom teaching is the key component.This paper has made a thoroughly research and analysis to the quality assessment system of classroom teaching in China University of Geoscience(Beijing),learnt the advanced experience from University of Oxford,and it has great significance and inspiration to improve the quality of classroom teaching effectively.University classroom teaching is a complicated activity,and teaching evaluation is for measurement and judgment of the whole classroom activities,Universities promote the improvement of teaching quality and thereby to upgrade the quality of talents.This paper synthesized modern teaching concept and another one of developmental teaching evaluation,and conducted a series research and analysis on classroom teaching quality evaluation system based on mastering numerous teaching evaluation theories.Both University of Oxford(Britain)and China University of Geosciences(Beijing)were taken to be cases for study,to analyze their classroom teaching quality evaluation systems,including evaluation purpose,evaluation content,evaluation organization and operation as well as evaluation results feedback,and additionally to research and analyze these aspects.Finally,several countermeasures and suggestions for perfecting the overall evaluation system were also proposed specific to the deficiencies and problems of China's universities by following the principles of scientificity,orientation and effectiveness.The theoretical assumption of perfecting university classroom teaching quality evaluation system mainly include the following six aspects,which separately is: transforming the evaluation purpose of classroom teaching quality,enriching classroom teaching quality evaluation content,forming a diversified evaluation subject with student evaluation and teacher self-evaluation as priority,adjusting the current single organization form,establishing a scientific and reasonable evaluation implementation process and a timely feedback mechanism,to more reasonably and effectively utilize evaluation results.
