Drama is one of the four major genres of Chinese literature,and it is a kind of art which combines the performance and literary nature.Drama plays an important role not only in the history of Chinese literature,but also as an integral part of Chinese teaching in high schools.The dramatic texts bear the unique teaching value which is different from other genres.With its rich connotation of dramatic language and the unique form of text and artistic taste,drama texts give teachers and students the enjoyment of beauty.Drama works in the high school Chinese Textbooks mainly from the hands of masters of ancient and modern dramas.Compared with the number of other types of texts,that of high school drama texts is less.With the development of the new curriculum reform,the Chinese drama teaching in high schools has been paid more and more attention.However,there are still many problems in the teaching of drama.So that the high school Chinese drama teaching becomes a mere formality,the teaching value of drama has not been fully realized.On the other hand,high school students also lack of interest in studying drama texts.Therefore,the present situation of Chinese drama teaching in high schools cannot be ignored.After analyzing drama texts of PEP high school textbooks and the existence of main problems in the teaching of drama,this paper intends to put forward some corresponding strategies about teaching materials,teachers and students,so as to improve the drama teaching situation of the teachers and students in high schools,and make the drama texts play their due teaching value better.
