English is a relatively special subject.It belongs to language education and also is a subject that contains every aspect of knowledge.As for English language teaching in the primary school,students are supposed to grasp the learned knowledge via English,which serves as a type of language tool.Also,they need to appreciate the corresponding background humanistic knowledge.Hence,the amount of information is rather huge.Micro-lecture is a new type of informationalized learning resources,and is characterized as short,small,and refined.Micro-lecture can better match the need of fragmented learning and mixed learning for English teaching.As a flexible and changeable type of learning,micro-lecture can assist English learning with satisfactory results.However,the author studied and found out that many English teachers have a rather superficial understanding of micro-lecture.Sometimes micro-lecture was mixed up with micro-video or multimedia teaching.Based on the above problems,the author,via literature research and case study,systemically studied the development and application of micro-lecture in the English teaching among primary schools.The present study mainly discussed and demarcated the definition and teaching characteristics of micro-lecture,and also,based on the research theory of micro-lecture,compared and analyzed the teaching mode of micro-lecture.Practical teaching cases were adopted to evaluate the teaching efficiency of micro-lecture.The present study believes that the design,development,and teaching of micro-lecture should follow certain rules.The major research results of the present study are as follows:The knowledge and the concept of grammar during English teaching among the primary schools are relatively dull and boring for the pupils.Through various forms,micro-lecture can effectively decompose,refine and extract the concept and knowledge of English education,thus raising the efficiency of English teaching among primary schools.As a new type of teaching media,micro-lecture has the feature of self-informatization.When designing the micro-lecture mode of English teaching for primary schools,attention shall be paid to the difference from traditional teaching mode and the principles of the design and development of micro-lecture should be followed.The design and development of micro-lecture for English teaching in primary schools should also highlight the implementation of evaluation of teaching.And the evaluation of teaching should start with the mastery of English knowledge among the students and the teaching efficiency of micro-lecture among the teachers.
