The Fundamental Education Curriculum Reform Outline was published and applied in 2001,which clearly stated that comprehensive practical activity should be set as core course from primary school to high school.The activity implmented by biological teacher should take students as the main part with the background of biological knowledge.From subject selectin and scheme design to implementation,the activity should base on the first-hand experience from student and respect the subjectivity of them.Combining the practical activity and biology teaching will not only overcome the disadvantage of low participation and operating ability of students in traditional class,but also satisfy the requirement of curriculum reform.Herein,literature method is applied to demonstrate the conception,properties,categories and fundamental of comprehensive activity based on the review of implementation of comprehensive practical activity at home and abroad.Secondly,questionnaire method and interview are applied to investigate the basic condition of implementing comprehensive practical activity,attitu de of teachers and students,guidance of teachers,students' ability and management of the school,which indicates that the implementation is not good and has many problems.For instance,school leaders didn't pay much attention to apply the practical activity.Some of the schools take up time for activities to other courses.Most of the activities have no plan and have serious blindness while being applied.There is no professional teacher to guide the activity and no complete evaluation.Also,the plan of activities is not standardized.After summarizing the problems,related strategies and solutions are suggested,such as changing traditional idea and clarity the function of activities.Regulation should be made with complete support.The training should be applied to improve the quality of teacher.Related and complete evalution system should be set up with standardized plan to ensure the application of activities.Finally,based on the summary of design and application of practical activitr,a series of basic steps to implement the activity,a series of basic steps to implement the activity is set up.A design for biology teacher to apply practical activity was compiled with evaluation of teaching and practical effect.
