To improve the physical quality of the youth athletes by applying function motion screening results to athletes' inspection and periodical training intervention.Functional Movement Screening(FMS)is a system used to assess the movement quality of athletes and predict the potential injury through seven movements' screening.The seven movements are comprised of one upper limb movement,circling the shoulder,four let movements,including deep squat,leg lifting,hurdling and straight lunge,and two trunk coordination,including rotation and pushup.These seven movements are used to examine the athletes' trunk coordination,balance,and joint agility and stability in an effort to reduce the possibility of getting injury.Swimming is a sport event that requires good skills and physical strength from athletes,who need to keep fine body streamline and momentum through stability,balance,agility and power.Exhaustion and repeated movements in intensified professional training could easily cause injury or functional limitation for youth swimmer.Therefore,we can assess and examine the athletes' movement quality through FMS,which can be served as precaution to reduce the possibilities of movement injury.Moreover,FMS can also assist athletes to keep and even improve their performance in swimming.Therefore,with great value,it is killing two birds with one stone.By applying documents quotation,interviewing,experiments,and data statistics,combined with SPSS20.0,this paper analyzes athletes' distinct difference in initial,middle and latter FMS test and athletes' wrong movement mode to improve FMS performance and prevent potential injury caused by wrong movement mode.The paper selected 25 youth swimmers aged from 11 to 14 as research objects,and intervened their training.Research results:(1)The 25 athletes improved much in the test after one to six weeks' rectification.Overall score of FMS went up by 2.28,with each single test index increased.In initial and middle test of FMS combined with T inspection,seven single test scores and overall score increased notably,with P index less than 0.05.(2)Most of the 25 athletes progressed in the test after seven to twelve weeks' rectification,while a few of them kept their current score,and none of them regressed.The overall score of all the 25 athletes went up by 1.8.Concluded from the middle and latter test of FMS combined with T inspection,we can see that P index of deep squat,trunk coordination pushup,trunk rotation stability and overall score are all less than 0.05 with distinct difference,while P index of straight lunge,shoulder agility,hurdling and leg lifting are more than 0.05 without distinct difference.(3)All the 25 athletes progressed notably in the test after twelve weeks' rectification,with three of them reaching 20 in overall score.In two tests before and after the experiments respectively,overall score of FMS rose by 3.36.Concluded from the initial and latter test of FMS combined with T inspection,the other six movement indexes showed distinct differences in degree of improvement,with P index less than 0.01,except for hurdling,with its P index less than 0.05.(4)Four swimming strokes,four leg-swinging and basic physical tests improved much after twelve weeks' rectification.Arch bridge test was relatively stable.Except for 50 meters butterfly stroke and arch bridge,which scores didn't show differences before and in the experiment,the other test scores were less than 0.05 in P index with distinct difference.All other test scores,except for arch test,were less than 0.01 in P index with distinct difference before and after the experimentResearch conclusion:(1)The movement screening assessment for Shijiazhuang amateur swimmers showed that their shoulder agility performed best,while the trunk stability pushup worst.(2)The seven movements' index of all the 25 athletes progressed notably in the test after twelve weeks' rectification.(3)The 50-meter test scores of four swimming strokes and four leg-swinging for the 25 athletes improved in different degrees after rectification.
