As an important part of educational evaluation system,teachers' comments has increasingly attracted people's concern.As a kind of written language which forms in the course of vivid communication between teachers and students,teachers' comments is intangible and different from common communication and dialogue.The elementary teachers' comments in this study refers to the written comments on manuals of comprehensive quality evaluation by teachers given in the form of descriptive languages at the end of each semester.This kind of dialogue and communication can promote mutual affection and trust between teachers and students and help realize the objective of students' comprehensive development.Many teachers reformed actively in practice on teachers' comments under the circumstances of New Curriculum Reform.However,the situation is not satisfactory.The contents of comments follow the same pattern and the individuation of language becomes the urgent problems to be solved.This thesis adopts questionnaires,interviews and case study based on elementary teachers' comments.This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction which includes the reasons of this study,relevant references,study methods,significance of this study and definitions of elementary teachers' comments.The second part gives an overall introduction of elementary teachers' comments which includes the functions and principles.The third part analyzes the investigation of elementary teachers' comments from the aspects of teachers' concern,contents of comments,evaluation language,response of objective and training of comments.The fourth part summaries and analyzes the reasons based on the problems found which include inadequate concern of teachers,inappropriate contents and language,lack of timely communication and training.The last part puts forward strategies for the school,teachers and objects based on reasons analyzed and written materials collected.As a kind of comprehensive evaluation at the end of each semester for students,teachers' comments promotes mutual communication between teachers and students and overall development of students,which have immediate impact on students and their parents.This thesis aims at putting forward some suggestions and offering references for teachers in elementary schools on comments writing from the aspects of thinking and contents.
