Under the background of comprehensively promoting curriculum reform of elementary education,the utilization and development of the curriculum resource are of great value on theory research and practical significance,and also become a highlight that educators are exploring in recent years.The Geography Curriculum Criteria of Ordinary Senior High School,formulated by Ministry of Education,puts forward a basic idea to cultivate necessary geographic quality of modern citizens,advocating learning geography useful to our life.Agrestic geography,coming from its location,is an important component in curriculum resource.Implementing agerestic geography in high school geography curriculum is a reflection of making full use of local curriculum resources,both inside and outside school,to serve teaching,which can not only store basic knowledge and skills on social practice for students,but directly or indirectly contribute to local sustainable development and bring some social benefits.This paper,taking Xiangyang city as an example,summarizes the agrestic geography into three categories,namely material resources,human resources and information resources,after lots of literature have been used for references and the definition of agrestic geography and curriculum resources have been fully read and understood;based on the previous researchs and field trips by predecessors,it puts forward that the utilization and development of the curriculum resource of agrestic geography should be on the basis of four principles,requirements of curriculum standard,scientificity,endemicity and practice;on the premise that the nature of development of the curriculum resource of agrestic geography in Xiangyang has been investigated and analyzed,it finds out that the main problems on development are that the subjects to be developed and the content of the resource are monotonous,the lack of systemic guidance and guarantee of implementation,the restriction of examination and evaluation system in senior high school and insufficient attention to each roles;based on the present situation,it analyzes and summarizes the features of the curriculum resource of agrestic geography of Xiangyang;under this premise,it puts forward several methods for development and application,namely the compilation of textbooks and supplementary materials of agrestic geography in Xiangyang,secondary development of existing textbooks,making use of inside and outside human resources and material resources to conduct field investigation or exploration activities,digging around and establishing information resources of agrestic geography in Xiangyang;after analyzing how the curriculum resource of agrestic geography is used to teach human geography,it explains the specific ways of development and lists three different examples related to the curriculum resource of agrestic geography in teaching design.This research is focused on the specific implementation and promotion of the curriculum,striving to give some theoretic help for the research of the exploitation and developments of the curriculum resources of agrestic geography in Xiangyang and at the same time provide teaching references for implementation of the curriculum of teachers.
