Question lies in the heart of mathematics, with which our thought starts. As an innovative teaching method,“question series” has always been warmly received by both teachers and students, for it can not only effectively arouse students' interest, but deepen and improve students' thought so as to cultivate their consciousness of questions and creativity. On the contrary, the traditional teaching mode of senior math, which lacks the scientific and effective design of “question series”,centering on teachers instead of students, hinders students' learning motivation, and at the same time restrains students of their innovative mathematical thinking as well as their creative ability.Based on questionnaire survey,lecture-attending investigation and interviews of teachers,it has been observed that a large number of senior teachers still practice traditional modes in math teaching at the moment.Based on literature research, this essay comprehensively shows the present situation of “question series” applied in teaching research.Based on theory-study,it has been found that the learning theory of constructivism serves as the theoretical pillars of “question series”;the theories of ZPD and Alter Teaching offer guidance to the design of “question series”;the theory of heuristic teaching provides guidance for the practice of “question series”.In accordance with the widely recognized four processes of mastering mathematical knowledge, namely, perception, comprehension, consolidation and application, this essay divides “question series” into five questions: situational questions, foreshadowing questions, target questions, discrimination questions and application questions. In accordance with the teaching features of “question series”and senior students' psychological characteristics in the process of math learning, this essay raises four principles the design of “question series” should follow: target principle, heuristic principle, progressive principle and exploratory principle.According to the modes and design principle of “question series”,this essay suggests among the following five types: concept lesson, proposition lesson, exercise lesson, review lesson and paper-comment lesson,a certain teaching type be elected to conduct a complete teaching design. After five months' experimental study, this essay suggests the application of“question series” in senior math teaching helps to improve students' scores, nurture students' interests, correct students' learning attitudes and innovate in students' learning methods.
