This paper is designed to conduct a a detailed investigation into the current situations of teachers' scientific research qualities of primary and middle schools in rural northern part of Zhejiang province with the aim to analyze the major problems and the causes on this issue,based on which,some countermeasures are accordingly put forward to improve the scientific research qualities of primary and middle school teachers in rural areas of northern Zhejiang province.This paper is categorized into the following four parts:Part One: Introduction.It initially clarifies the purpose and significance of topics and research reasons of the study,which is followed by the analysis of the current situation of relevant researches at home and abroad with the aim to elaborate on some research methods,the existing problems and the factors affecting the scientific research qualities.Finally,the author pointed out the research content involved,researching methods employed,the difficulties met with,goals expected to gain and original points arising in the paper.Part Two: The author launched the investigation and analysis of the current situation of scientific research qualities of teachers who came from the primary and middle schools in rural areas of northern Zhejiang province.The paper then analyzes the issue from the following five dimensions: scientific research awareness,scientific research abilities,scientific research methods,scientific research ethics and scientific research supports.Part Three is narrated in terms of the emerging problems and main causes of teachers' scientific research qualities of primary and middle schools in rural northern part of Zhejiang province.The problems are illustrated from five aspects as follows: poor problematic awareness and poor responsibility awareness,lack of educational and scientific research abilities,lack and abuse of scientific research methods,lack of consistency and stability of scientific research ethics and lack of scientific research supports.But when it comes to the reasons for the problems,there exist such problems as failure to thoroughly understand the scientific research values,teachers' weariness of jobs,low qualities of professional skills for teachers coming from the primary and secondary school in rural areas,and lack of strong scientific research support,etc.Part Four is intended to come up with some practical countermeasures to improve the scientific research qualities of teachers from the primary and middle schools in rural areas of northern Zhejiang.According to the analysis of the current problems and their causes scientific research qualities of teachers in the rural primary and middle schools,four countermeasures are proposed as follows: To inspire teachers' desire of self-orientation and enhance the awareness of scientific research qualities;To guide teachers to furnish themselves with the scientific research knowledge and cultivate the abilities of research;To encourage teachers to carry out behavior studies to improve scientific research methods;To provide supports of scientific research and strengthen management and guidance of the teachers.
