Long term poor sleep can lead to headaches,mental disorders,high blood pressure,heart disease and other kinds of diseases.It can harm your body and endanger the safety of others in some special jobs.Even causes huge economic losses to the society.Young people are the future of our nation and the core of social development.So,to discuss the problem of sleep quality and occurrence mechanism of somnipathy and adopting effective methods to improve their sleep quality is the important,urgent and practical problems in current society.20 young people who had poor sleep(PSQI>7)as the test subjects were randomized into the experimental group and the control group.Students in the experimental group who exercised the Twelve Duan Jin 1 hour everyday guided by their teacher 5 times per week in 12weeks.Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and brain wave chart(EEG)are used to measure the effect that Twelve Duan Jin influenced on young people sleep quality.The results showed that:1.Through the 12-week Twelve Duan Jin exercise,the PSQI marks of the experimental group in various index and total points are lower than that before exercise;the differences are significant(P<0.01).2.After the experiment,the ?-wave,?-wave and? 1-wave of the members in experimental group are increased in the sleeping duration.the differences are significant(P<0.05).the a 3-wave and ?-wave are decreased in the sleeping duration.the differences are significant(P<0.05).3.The PSQI total points of the experimental group are obviously decreased comparing with the control group and he length of their sleep time and sleep quality are significant difference(P<0.01)after the experiment.The conclusions:The percentage of poor sleep quality of young people in this research is higher than that of Chinese sleep white paper 2016.The percentage is 28.8%.12weeks exercise of the Twelve Duan Jin health Qigong can effectively shorten the sleeping time and improve the sleep quality.
