Geography has the characteristics of comprehensive,regional and practical.Because it is comprehensiveness,there have a link between geography and other disciplines.And geography has strong characteristics of life,students study well geography that can serve life.Because of the characteristics of the geography,in learning and life,geographical knowledge can be experienced personally,learning and thinking in a real situation,we can transfer to students that the application of geography,and enhancing interest in learning.It can cultivate talents in the field of Geography.So learning geography should be practice and experience.We need to find a way to adapt to the application of geography and practice.STEM education is a combination of science,technology,engineering,and Mathematics.The integration of knowledge and skills in four fields into Teaching,that makes students' learning knowledge into a whole.In general,STEM education is the integration of the four subjects,it can be combined with the curriculum in real life.From the features of geography,STEM education can be applied to the teaching of Geography.Technical design and engineering application in class,It can make up for the lack of activities that can only be done outside the classroom and increase the student's time of activity.By applying the STEM education for geographic knowledge truly "live".This paper mainly applies the characteristics of Geography and STEM education,so geography can be integrated with STEM Education.This paper mainly uses the method of searching the literature and comparison method and so on.The purpose is to test its application value.First,This paper set up a questionnaire about the integration of STEM education and geography.Then,I have an analysis of the geography textbook,which is about the integration of STEM Education.The purpose is to carry out teaching design.Finally,I designed a contrast experiment and analyzed the experimental results.This study has the following conclusions:The characteristics of STEM education are accord with the characteristics of Geography.It can be integrated with geography.STEM education can enhance the students' geographical knowledge and cultivating the ability of geographical practice.STEM education can enhance students' geographical thinking.(4)Students can learn geography in practice.STEM education can satisfy the students' feeling about the geography experiment.
