Xiao Shuzi was sent to the United States by the Ministry of Education of the National Government to study audiovisual education.He resolutely Returned to China in 1949 and made important contributions to the development of Electrifying Education in the new China.He was known as one of the pioneers and founders of Electrifying Education in new China,however,in the author's interview,very few people know Xiao Shuzi.Especially the post-80 s and post-90 s young educational technology workers and students majoring in educational technology do not have any impression at all.The author has consulted the literature on Xiao Shuzi,most of which are limited to scattered overview and enumeration.There is lack of systematic and comprehensive study about the practice and theories what Xiao Shuzi has done.Based on this,the study starts with the practical activities and the theoretical research of Xiao Shuzi,through the investigation of historical materials,making clear about the developing clue,analyzing the process of the formation of his educational thought,which aims to recover his foundation and profound influence in Chinese early Electrifying Education.This research mainly uses the literature research method and the personage interview method.In the research process,at first the paper describes the life brief introduction of Xiao Shuzi.It also uses several typical examples to highlight the ways he got along with people,his dedication and patriotic spirit.Secondly,through the direct and indirect data collected,the author describes and summarizes the practice of Electrifying Education done by Xiao Shuzi in his three working stages from the early Electrifying Education institute,Northwest normalUniversity to Hebei University.Finally,the article and works published by Xiao Shuzi are sorted out,and his influential literature is comprehensively analyzed and summarized.Based on this,the paper summarizes the formation of Xiao Shuzi's Electrifying Educational thought.This study summarizes the contributions made by Xiao Shuzi in both theory and practice.In practice,Xiao Shuzi promoted Electrifying Education in the early years with a focus on slide work,participated in a series of symposiums and training courses,and was responsible for lectures and formulating rules and regulations for slide education;he participated in the manufacture of dual-use slide projectors,at the same time set up an Electrifying Education course at Furen University,and drew up a method for setting up a course.During the working period of Northwest normal University,he set up the Electrifying Education course to conduct Electrifying Education experiments.He also organized Electrifying Education training courses,participated in Electrifying Education conferences,and guided the work of Electrifying Education throughout the country.When he worked in Hebei University,he set up compulsory and elective courses for Electrifying Education,hosted a series of journals,and constructed master's point of Education Technology.He also made theoretical contributions to Electrifying Education.He published a series of articles and books including more than 60 papers and more than a dozen monographs.Based on different stages of theory and practice,the study divides Xiao Shuzi's thoughts on Electrifying Education into the concept and connotation of Electrifying Education,the theoretical basis of Electrifying Education,the media view of Electrifying Education,and the management and evaluation of Electrifying Education.
