Chinese classical poetry is a glittering star in China culture history; it is an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture. For Chinese primary and junior school students,one of the best way to inherit Chinese traditional culture is learning classical poetries. The Chinese language teaching material is the effective vehicle of learning classical poetries which Chinese students are learning Chinese culture from it.Through reading Chinese Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education(2011 Edition), compulsory education of the classical poetry selection and arrangement should have a higher standard. This thesis is based on the theory of pedagogy, psychology and curriculum teaching theory, using literature research method, demonstration method and comparative research method to analyze the present situation of the compilation of classical poetries from compulsory education stage Chinese language teaching materials of People' s Education Press and Jiangsu Education Publishing House. Aiming at some problems of the classical poetry selection and arrangement, this thesis put forward the crux of these problems and related solutions.This thesis demonstrating the questions is obeying from the outside to the inside principle. First, conduct a meticulous arrangement about People's Education Press and Jiangsu Education Publishing House these two text books. Concretely, from three perspectives, dynasty background, poetry theme and poetry genre to analyze the classical poetry selection of the two editions. Analyze the two versions of classical poetry arrangement from variation of selection numbers and arrangement form of compulsory education phase of all grades. Second, the thesis does not stay on the surface but deeply discuss the essence behind. Based on four factors which are People's Education Press, Jiangsu Education Publishing House, primary school and junior school and horizontally comparing two edition text books, analyze features of presentation and point out the existing problems in order to put forward the relevant suggestions to do the theoretical preparation. At last, based on the previous part of the argument for shortcomings and deficiencies, relevant suggestions are put forward to two editions. And from two perspectives of the content and form arouse more thoughts about concept of Chinese language teaching materials.
