With the rapid development of information technology, people's life, study and work style have undergone significant change, which shows information literacy has become a symbol of the new era. So everyone living in the 21st century should strive to enhance his information literacy. Big6, an information problem-solving model, provides a new idea for people to improve their information literacy. And because of its clearly defined implementation steps, it has been well-received by scholars at home and abroad.In foreign countries, Big6 is very extensively applied. From primary schools to universities, even adult continuing education, they are using Big6 model to carry out specific teaching practices. However, in our country, the teaching research of Big6 model has just started. On widely reviewing relevant literature, the thesis took the junior middle school information technology curriculum as example, tried to apply the Big6 model in the instructional design, and develops specific teaching practice to test its teaching effect.After analyzing the contents of the junior school information technology teaching material of Shanxi edition, and combining with actual situation of students, the author chose contents of information technology course in the first grade as the teaching material of this teaching practice. In order to test the teaching effect of the Big6 model, the author designed the practice with the experiment Single factor randomized block: combining with the pre questionnaire and students'scores of examination papers, the author selected two similar classes as research objects, and then took one class as the experimental class to teach in accordance with the Big6 model, and the other as the comparison class to teach by conventional teaching method. After the experiment, the author has used SPSS and Excel to input data, carry out the analysis of the survey results and the final examination results of the two classes. The practice results show that the overall level of the experimental class which used the Big6 model is significantly higher than that of the comparison class. Through detailed analysis of some dimensions, the result shows that the teaching based on the Big6 model can help to increase students' interest in learning the information technology course and problem-solving capability, and it is also beneficial to correct students'learning attitude and further improve the level of their information literacy. During this teaching practice, by taking the information technology course in junior high school as an example and combining with junior school students' actual situation, the author tries to explore a teaching model based on the Big6 model in China, so as to provide some advices for the other peer teachers in information technology curriculum to carry out similar teaching practice in the future.
