| With the constant innovation and development of educational concept, the new mathematics curriculum standard pays more attention to learning interest and meanwhile the concept’promoting students’ all-round development’ is put forward. During the educational teaching activities, homework is not only the extension of classroom teaching but also the feedback of teaching effect. By the completion of homework, teachers can make remedy towards their teaching timely and students can also gain the relevant knowledge, skill and thought. This thesis, based on the current situation of junior students’ math homework and their learning interest, puts forward a kind of homework design aimed at cultivating junior students’ learning interest in math. The purpose of this thesis is proving the homework design based on cultivating learning interest is helpful for junior students’ improvement of learning interest and performance.Based on reading and analyzing the relevant literature, the author has a brief knowledge of research status about learning interest and homework design at home and abroad. However, the author finds out that many studies focused more on cultivating interest in classroom, such as enrichment or transformation of teaching method, but less on homework design. As the investigation indicates, there are some problems about junior students’ math homework design, such as fixed items, single correction method and improper evaluation standard etc. Besides, the completion of homework is far from satisfaction since the phenomena such as delay and copy of homework happen frequently. Moreover, the investigation result shows that junior students’ learning interest in math needs to be improved further. All of these are in accordance with the author’s interview result towards teachers. Based on the related theories about homework design, the author puts forward homework design principle and methods aiming at cultivating junior students’ learning interest in math. The author also conducts experimental study by practical teaching. The result of statistical analysis shows that the homework design aiming at cultivating students’ learning interest is indeed helpful for the improvement of students’ interest and performance. According to research result, the author provides the following pedagogical implications in designing homework: firstly, the content of homework should be associated with students’ learning and life; secondly, the homework should be designed into different levels according to students’ levels; thirdly, the type, openness and comprehensiveness of items should be enlarged; fourthly, students should be encouraged to participate in homework correction and correction method should be enriched such as group leader correct and self-correction; fifthly, the evaluation system should be flexible and based on different criterion. |
