As an modern Chinese literature criticism,close reading method was first put forward by the new criticism that were active in British and American from 1920 s to 1930 s.However,the close reading was mainly focused within the inside text and only analyzed the language and rhetorical skills,not involving the emotional level.Until 1990 s,Chinese cultural study and cultural criticism rose sharply and became popular with the researchers.To some extent,this promoted the development of Chinese circle of literature and art and even the literary circle.In recent years,close reading theory have been paid more and more attention by the experts and scholars in the educational world and was introduced into teaching domain.In the context of teaching,close reading is based on reading instruction and analyses the language and structural elements of the text in detail.Therefore,it will greatly help to improve the current situation where the reading instruction is short of micro-analysis.In recent years,the researchers of close reading theory represented by Sun Shaozhen and Wang Xianpei have been constantly exploring in practice.They come up with many practical close reading strategies for the front-line Chinese teachers and also promote the development of modern Chinese education.Although some achievements have been obtained in Chinese teaching,there are still some problems in actual teaching.For example,the teaching of Lu Xun's works remains a bottleneck in Chinese education.Not only the teachers but also the students have trouble in studying The works of Lu Xun.Therefore,this thesis researches and explores some related problems arising in the teaching of Lu Xun's literature works in current junior and senior schools.It starts with close reading strategies and combines close reading theory with the teaching content of Lu Xun's literature works of middle schools.The author believes it can be helpful to the front-line Chinese teachers.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.The introduction mainly introduces the research background,meaning,methods and current situation of the research.2.Close reading of texts and the teaching of Lu Xun's works in middle schools are discussed in detail,including the theoretical origin,value and significance of close reading and close reading's significance to the teaching of Lu Xun's works.3.This thesis mainly analyzes Chinese teaching of Lu Xun's works in middle school.This part is mainly divided into three modules: one is the analysis of current selected Lu Xun's works in Chinese textbooks for middle school,and is aimed to understand the current situation of the teaching of Lu Xun's works in middle school by the form of questionnaire and interview;The second one is about the attribution analysis to the problems in the teaching of the Lu Xun's works of middle school Chinese;Third one elaborates on the status and significance of the teaching of Lu Xun's works in middle school Chinese education.4.It puts forward the corresponding solution strategies,aiming at the application deficiency of close reading theory in the teaching of Lu Xun's works.To sum up,this thesis makes a preliminary cognition and analysis to close reading theory andthe teaching of Lu Xun's works in middle school.This thesis illustrates what should be closely read on earth and how to read in detail in the teaching practice of Lu Xun's works.The author hopes to provide some references for front-line Chinese teachers,and trigger their thinking and exploring at the same time.Close reading should be made good use of in the practice of teaching in order to make the students know about Lu Xun and fall in love with Chinese.
