Illustrations as a visual art and text to convey to the readers of writing ideas,is a supplement and extension of the text,the text described things visua-lly and specifically reflected,thus enhancing the appeal of the text to the read-er,to attract readers to further reflection and learning.As an important part o f Chinese teaching materials,illustrations are the important resources to beautif y the textbooks and play a certain role in decoration,so as to meet the reader s' needs for appreciation of the beauty.As an extension and an important supp le-ment to the language,illustrations play a very important role in the classroo m teaching.Therefore,must be strict in the compile,with accuracy,pertinence,unique art,etc..Illustration as an important resource for Chinese teaching,is an important part in Chinese textbooks,as Chinese language teaching in the se cond language,can make the abstract text intuitive and concrete,vivid,and sti mulate students' interest in learning,improve students' memory,deepen the con notation of the text,expand the cultural horizons of students pro-motion,emoti onal education and aesthetic education of students.However,in realistic classro om teaching,the layout and design of illustrations is not reasonable.There are various aspects of selection,content and arrangement,which not only affect t he effect of illustrations,but also bring some adverse effects to students' under standing.In view of this,it is necessary to study illustrations in primary schoo l textbooks,analyze the problems in illustrations,and put forward some specifi c countermeasures for improvement according to the reality of pupils.This paper is divided into the following parts: the first part is about the i-ntroduction,mainly introduces the research background,significance,literature review and research methods;The second part is the theoretical consideration o f the layout design of illustrations in primary school textbooks.The third part is the study of the language version of the primary school textbook illustration s,main statistical analysis was carried out on the Chinese version of the illustr ations,and from three aspects as a selection of images,content,layout,specifi c analysis of the problems existing in the language teaching material illustratio ns;The fourth part is for Chinese version of the primary school textbook illust rations related suggestions were put forward,mainly involves the reasonable all ocation number of illustrations,enhance the scientific nature of the material,to strengthen the connection between the text and illustrations,improve the suitabi lity of the content of the illustrations,break through the stereotypes of layout f orm,pursuing diverse visual experience,promoting the integrity of illustrations and systemic,follow the students' cognitive level,improve the quality of the il lustrations of the printing.The last part is the conclusion,which mainly summar izes the views of this article,and points out the shortcomings of this study.It is hoped that the research of this article can provide some reference for the d esigners of teaching materials.
