As a result of the development of today's society,the improvement of people's living standard,as well as the two child policy since the last two years,this makes the proportion of children in China is also increasing year by year.According to the data of China's sixth national census,the proportion of children under the age of 15 accounts for 16.6 percent of the country's total population.And the age of three to six years old is an important stage of children's physical and psychological development,but also the development of children's intelligence of the golden period.The process of playing with toys is not only a process for them to know and understand a product,but also a process for their physical and mental development.They can not only experience the happiness brought by toys,but also get the improvement of intelligence,creativity,imagination and other aspects.When we talk about toys,we have to mention educational toys.From its literal meaning,we can see that it is a product used to develop intelligence.In the process of playing and using educational toys,children can not only improve their intelligence,but also develop their creativity and imagination.Educational toys were introduced to China in the late 1980 s.After continuous improvement and innovation by experts in the toy industry and engineers in the development of educational toys in China,educational toys are now favored by more and more consumers in the market.This paper focuses on the investigation and research of children's educational toys in early school age and designs three kinds of educational toys suitable for preschool children's entertainment.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter introduces some simple investigation and understanding of the topic.The second chapter analyzes the physiological and psychological characteristics of preschool children.The third chapter investigates the educational toys for preschoolers at home and abroad.The fourth chapter summarizes the design elements and principles of preschool children's educational toys.In the fifth chapter,I designed three kinds of educational toys suitable for preschoolers.Chapter six is a summary of this paper and the future of preschool children's educational toys.
