Business interpretation goes far beyond a conversion of languages which meanwhile requires interpreters to take culture,pragmatics,social backgrounds,customer demands and etc.into serious consideration.The strong sense of purpose is the distinctive feature that sets business interpretation apart which aims at providing professional service to develop international exchanges and cooperation relations and reach business agreements eventually.This thesis is based on the author's practice of business English interpretation in June 2017 at the 4th China-Russia Expo.As a volunteer of China-Russia Expo,the author was assigned to the intelligent manufacturing exhibition area.After receiving the assignment,the author promptly looked through the detailed process of exhibition and then equipped herself with relevant professional vocabularies on business negotiation,international trade and 3D printers.Beyond that the author also collected the basic information of the foreign guests through the commissioning party.The author,s main responsibilities of the interpreting task included exhibitor reception,layout assistance,management of exhibition and withdrawing,product presentation of 3D printers and business negotiation.With reference to the model of MTI translation(interpreting)practice report drafted by Mu Lei,this thesis covers the whole process of the interpretation.Various participants were involved in this business interpreting practice and the situation was complex and changeable.Based on the recordings,the author attempted to explain the obstacles from phonetic level,lexical level,syntactic level and rhetorical level and propose the coping tactics from the perspective of Skopostheorie.The process of business negotiation is generally divided into three stages:initial stage,critical stage and final stage of negotiation,in which interpretations that are not faithful to the original text often appear.According to Skopostheorie,the relationships between the rules are as follows:the primary rule is the Skopos rule;The Fidelity rule obeys the principle of Coherence rule,and these two obey the principle of Skopos rule so that interpreters should choose different interpreting strategies.Besides,the author summarized the successes and deficiencies of this interpreting practice,aiming to provide enlightenment for business interpreting in the future study,especially those related to high-tech products.
