This is a translation report on the long and complex sentences.In legal texts,long and complex sentence are frequently used.In this original text,however,long and complex sentences are mainly adverbial clauses and attributive clauses.Therefore,it is of great importance to translate these sentences into Chinese in an intelligible way.This translation report first provides an overview of the adverbial clause and the attributive clause.Then it briefly introduces the structure of these two clauses and points out the proper methods to translate them.Aiming at the original texts,the author uses three methods for the adverbial clauses: literal method,division method and conversion method,and also three for the attributive clauses: pre-attributive method,division method and adverbial translation method.Finally,the report summaries the lessons the author has learned in the process of translation and the translation methods that can be applied to legal texts...
