A Report On Escort Interpreting Under The Guidance Of Skopostheorie

As communication between China and other countries is more and more frequent,various industries require a higher quality of interpreting service.Therefore,Chinese interpreters have a responsibility to show a positive national image of China to the world.However,interpreters face various problems and burden pressure during practical interpreting process.This thesis is based on an escort interpreting practice provided by the author for the delegation of the Supreme Court of Turkey during the Silk Road(Dunhuang)International Forum on Judicial Cooperation and guided by three rules of skopostheorie of translation studies which were widely accepted and approved by the academia.The author takes detailed escort interpreting examples to analyze the improvement of escort interpreting quality contributed by three rules of skopostheorie.The author found that the three rules of skopostheorie improves the quality of escort interpreting efficiently.Besides,in order to solve problems encountered by the author,this thesis proposed two methods of “improving the oral expression ability” and “strengthening the logical thinking ability”.This thesis aims at providing some learning value for escort interpreters.
