A complement is a unique Chinese grammatical structure,and a potential complement is frequently used for daily communication.Even though potential complement is relatively easy to learn,nevertheless Ukrainian students have difficulties understanding the meaning of this grammatical structure,therefore often make errors while using them.The reason is there is no such grammatical structure as potential complement in Ukrainian language.As of today,most of Chinese potential complement studies are made for Thai,English,Korean,Vietnamese speakers.However,according to the resources found by the penman,there are no researches for Ukrainian students learning Chinese potential complement.For that reason,this research direction was chosen for the paper.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the significance of the topic,the object of research and research methods.In addition,it describes the researches done in this field previously.The second chapter introduces possible expression ways of Chinese potential complement in Ukrainian language.In this chapter,the penman firstly compares the ways of expressing of possibility in Chinese and Ukrainian languages,than explores the corresponding ways of expressing of Chinese potential complement in Ukrainian language.The third chapter introduces the results of questionnaire survey,which purpose was to understand the situation of the acquisition of Chinese potential complement by Ukrainian students.The survey was conducted in four universities;afterwards the data were collected and analyzed.On the bases of analyzed data,the penman found the errors committed by Ukrainian students while using Chinese potential complement.Therefore,in the fourth chapter,the penman introduces the errors divided into several groups(mis-sequence,mis-addition and omission)and performs the error analysis.At last,the fifth chapter puts forward Chinese potential complement teaching suggestions for Ukrainian students.
