With the rapid development of globalization, exchanges and cooperation between countries are increasing, and the demand for translation has also increased.Traditional human translation and stiff machine translation cannot meet people’s translation needs. At this time,Computer-Aided Translation(CAT)technology has emerged as the time requires and developed rapidly, with the characteristics of time saving and high efficiency. At the same time, maritime texts have distinctive features such as strong professionalism, professional vocabulary and difficulty in translation. Therefore, this practice report uses the maritime text as the exploration target, and selects the maritime materials such as the BIMCO as a case, aiming to use the Deja Vu software to perform computer-assisted translation and post-editing translation of maritime texts.Based on the practical operation and analysis of Deja Vu software from three perspectives of pre-translation,translation process and post-translation editing, this paper finds that there are syntactic and lexical errors in the translated text of CAT,such as the mistranslation of conditional sentences, mistranslation of attributive clauses, language sequence, terminology as well as repetition and omission of function words. Therefore, this paper adopts the mode of post-translation editing to carry out post-translation processing of computer-aided maritime text translation.According to different specific case, corresponding modification measures are put forward in the translation:specifying the meanings of function words to cope with the omission of function;adding inanimate subjects and conjunctions as well as modifying the order of sentence components to create more fluent target text;proofreading by translators to make terminology translation accurately. In this thesis, the author puts forward the following two suggestions to the computer-aided translation software and its operators:the software operators should not rely too much on the machine, but should aim at improving their own translation level; It is necessary to update the term base and accumulate the translation memory base so that the computer translation software can better assist human translation.
