With the development of global economy, interview TV programs concerning economy have attracted more and more people's attention.A host and several guests are usually invited in this kind of interview TV programs to discuss about some economic topics.Interpreting such interviews can help spread the culture and promote the sharing of ideas and knowledge. The interpreter tries to apply interpreting theories into the interpreting practice and help the audience understand the economic trend.Under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory of Translation(ITT),the interpreter accomplished the interpreting practice.ITT is a concept from the field of Translation Studies. It was established in the 1970 s by Danica Seleskovitch.ITT suggests that the essence of translating is to transmit the information, the meaning or sense. He put forward the core of the theory-the triangle model, namely comprehension,de-verbalization and reformulation. In this interpreting practice, the interpreter, under the guidance of ITT,summarized five strategies,i.e.omission,addition,conversion,paraphrase and reorganization. The report consists of four parts. The first part introduces task source and significance,as well as description and analysis of the material. The second part describes the whole interpreting process, including pre-task preparation,while-interpreting description and self-evaluation.The third part illustrates the case study which is based on ITT.By analyzing cases in the report, five strategies are summarized: omission, addition, conversion, paraphrase and reorganization. Then a conclusion consisting of research findings and shortcomings are made.
